Laser hair removal is one of the best ways to get rid of unwanted hair. Most treated areas are legs, bikini line, armpits, upper lip and chin, but that does not mean you can’t remove unwanted hair in any area of the body.
The way Laser hair removal works is by having a laser go through the skin to individual hairs with a pulsating beam of light, the heat of the laser damages the follicle which eventually will slow down future hair growth.
Laser hair removal works best for people with dark hair and light skin because the laser will target the melanin (pigment) in the hair. Hair removal by laser is not recommended for dark skinned people because it may affect the pigment of the skin. Even though laser hair removal will slow down the hair growth, there is no guarantee for permanent hair removal and will take several treatments to get a longer hair free period.

The results of the Laser hair removal will be different from person to person and it is recommended to have several treatments at least four to six times, and even then it is not guaranteed for your hair not to grow back and may need additional treatments maybe once or twice a year.

The skin can lighten or darken in the treated areas but more often on darker skin especially if an incorrect laser setting is used normally it will be only temporary.
Some people experience some skin irritations after Laser treatments, like scabbing and crusting which normally go away after the skin has a chance to heal.
