SmoothBeam for Acne Scars: Also FDA-approved, and it is excellent at treating scars that are visible. This is definitely recommended for anyone looking to rid of scars that won’t go away.

Blue Light: This treatment is definitely one that will provide you with some interesting knowledge. First, different colors of light provide different wavelengths and also are responsible for different actions. Blue light is responsible for activating bacteria which is toxic to the bacteria itself, therefore eliminating acne.

This procedure is not as long-lasting, because bacteria can regrow, but it is less expensive than SmoothBeam and is painless, whereas the other method recommends a topical analgesic in order to numb pain. If you live close to the procedure place when getting the laser acne treatment in Miami then it is well worth the several trips.

Photodynamic Therapy: This is essentially the same as Blue Light but it is combined with a chemical. Instead of just targetting the bacteria, the chemical also targets the sebaceous glands which SmoothBeam treatments do.

An advantage when compared to Blue Light alone is that it requires less treatments, therefore less hassle by having to visit so many times. It is also more effective, and expensive, then the standard procedure. This procedure is much more intense, so it can cause the acne to possibly get worse before improving, and you become very, very sensitive to sunlight.
