The Cellulite Laser: Do Not Blame The Laser

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Cellulite tends to find its way on to the legs, buttocks and hips. When cellulite starts to fester, it can be very difficult to get rid of. Just ask Jackie.

Jackie lived about three houses away from me. She was very popular because she had a small restaurant that made the best food within a 10 mile radius. Jackie’s Food Den was the name of her establishment and so popular was her restaurant that Jackie appeared on a television show after her culinary skills became so talked about in the state. It appeared as though her customers were not the only ones eating her food.

Jackie was short but stocky looking. She had a weird shape but definitely for her 5 foot tall self she was way too heavy. I guess when she cooked her delicious foods she would sample them just a little too much. Jackie was however well aware of her over weight condition and the cellulite that dripped from her legs bothered her.

She decided to get a cellulite laser treatment. I remember the day she told me about her plans. She was very excited. She had done her research and decided that the cellulite laser was for her. After a few sessions, Jackie was cellulite free and loving it, but, she never altered her diet.

In a very short space of time Jackie was cellulite full again. She saw me one day and started to criticize the cellulite laser, the person who invented it (whoever that was) and the doctor that did the procedure. It was then I had to explain to her that cellulite exercises and diet were essential in the battle against cellulite. She was in such a rage that my comments meant nothing to her. Jackie would remain short and fat and cellulite ridden after that. I guess she got used to the lumps of fat.

RejuveSkin: Effective Cellulite Removal

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Nobody likes cellulite. While it rarely affects men, ninety-percent of women are expected to have the condition at some point after the age of 30. With so many women around the globe affected by this skin condition it comes as no surprise that there are literally thousands of different treatments. However, the majority of these methods aren’t permanent and the cellulite returns when you stop using the treatment.

One treatment that does lead to permanent and effective cellulite reduction is plastic surgery. Of course, its does have its disadvantages. As with any surgical procedure there is pain and recovery time that you need to deal with, as well as the possibility of infection and poor results. However, if you are willing to contend with these possible downsides plastic surgery can make a real difference to your cellulite.

Until recently, cellulite was removed using either fat transplants or lysing – where the connective tissues that pulls down on the skin creating the dimples is cut. RejuveSkin is a revolutionary new treatment that combines both these methods in order to obtain a better and more permanent outcome.

With RejuveSkin cellulite removal surgery, a surgeon will insert a narrow tube under the skin. This tube is very similar to the one used in liposuction surgery. At the end of the tube, is a cutting instrument which is used to sever the connective tissue which causes the cellulite dimples. The process is complete when fat injections are used to fill in any remaining lumps or bumps.

A RejuveSkin treatment will set you back about $4,000. A typical patient will see an improvement of 60 to 70 percent. Ninety percent of patients are happy with their results. One advantage of RejuveSkin of liposuction is that it is a much less invasive procedure. It takes a typical patient about a week to recover with some bruising and swelling remaining for up to 8 weeks.
