Clearing the Causes of Acne

Friday, September 10th, 2010

Acne is not pleasant to look at but it is especially difficult to deal with in the teen years. Acne can cause problems self-esteem. Removing the factors that cause acne is the best way to deal with acne proactively instead of trying to get rid of it after the fact.

Though foods do not directly cause acne, certain foods can aggravate conditions that cause acne, thus triggering acne. Some say stress will cause acne.  Acne can also be related to hormones and hormonal imbalance. Because acne forms under the skin, it is a myth that people get acne because they are not clean. In fact, too much scrubbing can actually make acne worse. While cleaning your face will not clear up all your acne, it goes a long way in taking care of your delicate facial skin. The best way to clean the face is to gently wash it twice daily with a mild cleanser.

Here are some ways on how you can prevent acne formation;

  1. Remove makeup before going to bed. Your makeup formula can have ingredients that can irritate your skin. Makeup can also clog pores.
  2. If you have pimples or acne don’t pick at them. Picking can cause scarring.
  3. Regular exercise – 30 minutes at least three times weekly – is a great way to improve your skin’s appearance. Exercise reduces stress, a common acne cause, and sweating helps clear your pores. Do not use astringents or facial solutions that are so strong as to further irritate your facial skin.
  4. Make sure that your hands are clean when touching your face. Sometimes bacteria can worsen acne.
  5. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush the system

By adopting a skin care regime and focusing on health plans that are good for the entire body, the incidence of acne should decrease. However, if home acne remedies do not help you be acne free, it may be necessary to consult a dermatologist.

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Natural acne treatment is a method used to treat and prevent acne that mainly pertains to diet and hygiene. I have basic information about both of these that I will provide, but I definitely am not an expert in the topic.

First off, hygiene is definitely a huge factor in curing acne. Taking daily showers is huge in natural acne treatment because that means your face will be cleaned of bacteria and dirt particles at least once a day. On top of that, you should wash your face at least twice a day.

One habit that can make a huge difference is picking at your acne. The only time you should do this is if there is a pimple that is ready to be popped, with clean hands, and to apply soap and wash the affected area right after. Other than that, touching your face with your hands will only cause more bacteria to trigger growth of acne.

Next, dieting does incredible things for natural acne treatment. Having at least six glasses of water a day will help your body maintain excellent fluid levels and you will notice a difference overtime. Eating fruits and vegetables is very important as they provide vitamins that are benficial to the prevention and curing of acne.

Consuming dairy can increase the development of acne, therefore it is suggested that you find an alternative to milk and cheese. Alcohol should also be completely avoided. Tea and coffee can be beneficial, but more than two cups a day is not.

There are plenty of things to watch for including do’s and dont’s in your diet, it would definitely be a long list. Essentially, eating healthy is the main key. An easy example of several dont’s would be smoking, fast food, and fried foods. Not only will eating healthy help prevent and cure acne, it will also make you healthier.

There are many, many different methods of natural acne treatment. For the most part, they are different diet ideas and methods that will help. There are plenty of foods that are better than others, and keeping clean is something that will take part in curing acne.
